Part 3: Write a 2-3 page paper, typewritten and upload to CANVAS:You have provided a diagram of the classroom and indicated the location of the furniture, doors and windows and some other equipment that is fairly easy to draw/illustrate. You must write in complete sentences and in paragraph format.The materials and equipment MUST be developmentally appropriate.

• For EACH Center:
  • List each center and explain the reason you have placed your learning centers in the location you selected.
  • Explain the types of materials you would include and
  • Explain how each center will meet children’s needs and influence learning.

(Example: Book/Library Center: There will be a shelf for books, a couch and two bean bag chairs. They will be arranged to create a warm, cozy place for children to explore books, including books the children have made. The books on the shelf will reflect diversity and be carefully selected books that are quality literature and reflect the interests of the children in the classroom. The book/library area will provide stories and factual books (non-fiction). The book/library area provides support for language development and literacy. )

Describe additional materials that you would provide that would create an aesthetically pleasing environment and a welcoming place for children and families. These are the materials that may not be illustrated in your diagram, but are important to the atmosphere, such as plants, lamps, etc. Use ideas from the articles provided, pictures shared in class or visits to classrooms.
