A professional development plan is used to advance a teacher’s practices through learning opportunities, self-reflection, and goal setting.
You will be examining the quality of your own teaching and developing a plan for continuing your professional growth after the conclusion of this course.
Directions
Use the CARICOM Standards for the Teaching Profession to examine and analyze your current teaching practices.
For Standard 6 ONLY, address the following prompts.
Provide specific evidence and artifacts of how you have met the standard.
Artifacts may include lesson plans, assessments, observation notes, interview transcripts, feedback from peers, reflective logs, etc.
Each artifact should be accompanied by a description of the artifact and justification for including it as evidence.
Provide at least 1 artifact.
Identify areas of the standard in which you could improve.
Describe steps you will take to improve your performance in each standard.
Include a rationale for the steps (i.e., how will these steps help you improve your performance in the standard?).
Provide a timeline for when you will complete the steps.
Submit your plan as a PDF file or Word document.
